Diving is a tremendous hobby. October 1998 I started with combining holiday and activity. In this case I ended up in Turkey, in Kas, where I took the course "PADI Open Water Diver" with Holdive. It was really addicting, so as soon as I got back in Alphen I wnet to the local diving school, Seahorse Diving, and continued diving fanatically. Just before january 1st 1999 I became SSI Advanced, a few months later I was Rescue Diver and just a few more months later I made my 100st dive. 

Oktober 1999 I went to Hurghada with cousin Tjeerd, where he has done his "Open Water Diver Course." His addiction is showing already! Meanwhile I did the 150th  dive on december 11 1999, and on december 16 1999 is passed the course "Divecon". 

Naturally I continued fanatically, and precisely after 3 years I did my 400th dive. I started ITC, and may now call myself a certified NAUI Instructor! This gives me the opportunity to get other people as addicted as I am.

Thanks to my hobby I met my partner for life. And because we share this hobby we founded in 2003 Astimo Diving. 

Here below are some foto's underwhich the celebrating of my 100st dive, which I made with my favourite buddy Dennis, putting on the fins while in the water. With 5 persons a dive in Oostvoorne and leaving just for the crowd in "La Combe".
